MITOOMA– The Ruhinda South legislator, Captain Mugabe Dononzio Kahonda has called on Residents in Mitooma district to always use government services for income generation and development and urged them to desist from luxurious expenditure that would throw them into debts.
Hon. Kahonda made the call as he officiated at a Thanksgiving for Nyakatete II parish, aimed at raising funds for the completion of church construction, a function that was held at church premises in Kabira Sub County, Mitooma district.
The legislator noted that the government has done its role of availing services such as schools, water, electricity among others to its people, hence a need for them to learn effective accountability while using them by engaging.
He added that these can be a source of income that would uplift them from poverty levels to a state of self-sustenance.
Speaking during the same function, Coleb Natukwatsa the head of laity for Nyakatete II Parish emphasized the need for unity and togetherness among Christians towards development of their church.
Meanwhile Rev Patience Akankwatsa the parish priest for Nyakatete II Parish noted that they were able to collect 5 million for the cause.
Akankwasa also thanked Hon Kahonda for standing with them whenever he’s called upon for any support.
