Nganda and Kiwanuka

NEWS– Kira municipality Member of Parliament Ibrahim Ssemujju Ngaanda has exchanged words with the country’s attorney general Kirwowa Kiwanuka over their brutal arrest by Uganda police while taking their protest note to Kenya high commission because of their FDC colleagues who were kidnapped in Kenya.

Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda told the speaker that him and Thaddeus Kamara Mp Kabale Municipality and other 12 FDC party leaders where brutally arrested, taken to court and charged of public nuisance which unfair.

Ssemujju noted that last week he asked the attorney general to explain why they arrested the FDC supporters who had gone for leadership courses in Kenya and the attorney general Kiryowa Kiwanuka told the house that he had no answer which prompted him and others to go to Kenya high commission to get explanation but he is still puzzled why again they were arrested.

In his response the attorney general Kiryowa Kiwanuka told the house that even a member of parliament can be a public nuisance according to the law.

But his explanation annoyed the Ssemujju and they started exchanging on the floor of parliament.

Ibrahim Ssemujju told the attorney general to stop taking the matter of brutal arrest of Mps personnel because they all support Express FC but he should tell the country why they are arresting people in such a manner.

In his response Kiryowa Kiwanuka noted that it was not necessary for the honorable member of Kira Municipality to bring express FC in the matters concerning public nuisance.
