KAMPALA– The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa has pledged to hold a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Parliamentary Chaplain, and Hon Joseph Ssewungu to resolve the matter of disrespecting the Catholic Rosary.

This follows a concern raised by Ssewungu, the MP for Kalungu West constituency, regarding security operatives breaking a rosary during the arrest of Achilleo Kivumbi, a security guard to the NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.

Ssewungu expressed bitterness and protested the manner in which security operatives are disrespecting religious symbols, warning that such actions could lead to uncalled-for consequences.
