NEWS- The Police in Mubende District have launched a manhunt for Mutatina Khalisiti, a suspect accused of stabbing Ignitious Nyansiyo, aka Muhwezi, to death after finding him in bed with his wife.
According to SP Rachel Kawala, Wamala Region Police Spokesperson, the incident occurred around 9:00 pm in the Ngowa zone, Mubende District, when Khalisiti returned home and discovered Nyansiyo with his wife.
Khalisiti allegedly stabbed Nyansiyo with a knife, resulting in his death.
Preliminary investigations reveal that both the suspect and the deceased resided in the Ngowa zone, although Khalisiti works in Kagadi district and spends most of his time there, this time, he returned home without giving any notice in the night and caught them.
After the stabbing, both Khalisiti and his wife fled the scene.
“We responded to the incident and found the deceased’s body in the suspect’s marital bed.
The body has been taken to Mubende regional referral hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The police are urging anyone with information leading to Khalisiti’s arrest to contact 0393241007 or report to the nearest police station.
“Efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect and bring him to justice.” Kawala stated.
