NEWS- Muhanga Golden Nursery and Primary school in Muhanga Town Council in Rukiga district is planning to purchase a coaster bus in a bid to help the school the school in easing expenses on field trips as well as transporting children to and from the school.
This was revealed and approved by the school management committee this week during the farewell party of staff and celebration of the excellence in 2023 Primary Leaving Examination results.
Muhanga Golden Nursery and Primary school located at Muhanga- Kisizi road became the second in the whole district of Rukiga in 2023 after posting a stellar performance.
Speaking to our reporter after the farewell party which was held at school premises, Jacklyn Nkamushaba, a board member who doubles as the Muhanga Town Council councilor said that the school van is not only going to help the school but Muhanga and Rukiga at large.
Nkamushaba used the same opportunity to challenge parents and pupils to ensure reporting to schools for second term on Monday February 2024 as per the Ministry of Education and sports calendar.
The school director Oscar Akampurira who doubles as the Rukiga district speaker attributed the school’s stellar performance on commitment of his staff, parents and the conducive environment at school which favored the pupils to read their books.
Akampurira added that the pupils from far places of Rwentobo, Rwahii, Bukinda, Kamwezi, Kabale among others have been finding it challenging to come to school due to long-distances without daily transport.
The school head teacher with great joy embraced the idea of the school van saying that it’s going to solve challenges they have been encountering during their field trips.
