NTUNGAMO- Financial institutions and Organizations have commended for always promoting employees based on their integrity and output in their areas of duty.
According to Gregory Nahabwe the chairman Rwashamaire Town council this will encourage and motivate others to perform well in order to be promoted.
Mayor Nahabwe made remarks on Thursday while presiding over Muntuyera Co-operative Savings and Credit Society Limited Rwashamaire joining other SACCOs to close the year and rewarding the Best Performing Members in saving and in using loans acquired from the cooperative.
The awarding of Christmas hampers and gifts package (Ekiterekye) ceremonies took place at the SACCO’s head offices Rwashsmaire town council Kajara county Ntungamo district.
He thanked the board members and staff for considering the best performers in the SACCO noting that it will help them to develop.
The chairman Board of Directors Muntuyera SACCO Rwashamaire Rev Nahoora Benson reassured staff and members that the rewarding of best performers with Christmas hampers and gifts package (Ekiterekye) will be maintained.
He thanked the staff led by Kwarisiima Agnes for implementing the Sacco’s plans and projects in a timely manner and who are saving with Muntu Sacco for sustainable development.
Rev Nahoora appealed to the best performers and those who failed to meet the target to increase their savings and mobilize others to join the SACCOs such that they can also benefit from Christmas hampers and gifts package (Ekiterekye) which is annual.
The manager Muntuyera SACCO Rwashamaire Kwarisiima Agnes advised the beneficiaries that the aim of this package is to appreciate members for their contribution towards the Sacco’s growth through savings, mobilizing other members to join and credit schemes.
She urged members to continue saving and spend sparingly during this festive season as school fees payment will be coming in January.
On behalf of beneficiaries Abert Musinguzi appreciated the rewarding of best performing members for their efforts in using loans and saving to achieve prosperity and asked the SACCO members to take advantage of the opportunity of having their own cooperative to develop and improve their livelihoods.
Edridah Bindibona and Dr Nabaasa James of Ntungamo Medical specialist clinic Rwashamaire were the best overall and received goats and hampers.
The Very Rev Canon Cranmer Mwesigwa the Dean St Mathews’ Cathedral Kyamate and Rev Canon James Ndyanabo Rutaraka the vetting chairperson blessed the meeting among others.
At least 32 members received Christmas gifts and incentives including goat, chicken and hampers.
