KIGEZI- The Police in Kabale District have instituted investigations into circumstances surrounding the death of a yet to be identified body which was discovered today morning at Pidda cell in Bugongi Ward in Northern Division of Kabale Municipality.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly said that the body was discovered by cattle keepers who were grazing animals in the up hills when they came across the body that immediately they informed the area Chairperson who went and reported the matter at Kabale Central Police Station.
The District CID officer Hakim Mukama together with a team of Homicide detectives responded to the scene which was examined and documented and relevant statements recorded from witnesses and the body was conveyed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.
Maate told journalists that the body has not been identified by anybody and anyone missing the dear one should visit the Hospital Mortuary so that it is identified and taken for a decent burial and should there be a person with information pertaining to his death, should volunteer it to help in bringing to book those involved.
Meanwhile the Police in Kisoro District are hunting for suspects who are alleged to murdered a yet to be identified man whose body was found at Mburabuturo village in Gisorora Parish in Nyakabande Sub-county.
This was confirmed by Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly Maate who said that tha Police received information today morning from the Area Chairperson claiming that there was a dead body lying along the road within the same village.
The Scene of Crime was visited, processed and documented and statements were recorded from witnesses and the body was taken to Kisoro General Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination and efforts are going on to trace for the relatives so that he is identified and taken for a decent burial.
Maate explained that the body had bruises all over the body with a broken right arm and a deep cut on the head.
