The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has confirmed plans to tarmac more roads in Kanungu district that Include 149 km Hamurwa, Kerere – Kanungu- Kanyantorogo – Butogota – Buhoma – Ikumba road and 87km Ishasha – Katunguru road section as part of the broad economic infrastructural developments for Kanungu and Kigezi Sub region in his next term of office.
Museveni noted that the NRM government has fostered for economic infrastructural developments in Kanungu district as part of the socioeconomic transformation efforts of the area and improved service delivery, hence asking residents of Kanungu district to preserve the prevailing peace and stability to avoid instabilities seen in their neighborhood in the DRC.
He unveiled plans operationalize a fertilizers scheme for Tea, coffee, cotton farmers to boost their yields in his next term of office stressing that the NRM government intends to improve the profitability of such large scale projects through assistance grants to farmers for fertilizers as planned for in his next term of office.
The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate guided the electorate in Kanungu district to avoid confusing development with wealth creation as he guided on profitable enterprises for small and large scale land owners.
Museveni explained that well as government is charged with general development roles, the citizenry are duty bound to engage in economic activities for wealth creation at individual and household level.
Museveni was addressing the NRM Presidential campaign rally at Rwere play grounds in Kanungu district – Kigezi Sub region.
The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate also guided Kanungu people on the implementation of the 4 acre model initiative and promised expand the initiative to cover more actions of the general public in his next term of office.
The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has revealed a massive job creation strategy to the people of Kanungu district through intensified industrialization and commercial agriculture.
Museveni noted that the establishment of industrial parks in different parts of the country has created over 1.3 million jobs for Ugandans citing industrial parks like in Mbale, Namanve, Kapeeka and Mukono among others that have played a pivotal in the creation of job opportunities for Ugandans and more are planned.
He elaborated on the immense job opportunities in other sectors such as commercial agriculture, Services sector and ICT that the NRM government intends to increase moving forward.
Museveni explained that free universal education in government schools will enhance job opportunities and wealth creation plans for the country and rallied the electorate of Kanungu district to support his plans for free universal education in all government schools
The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Museveni referred to the success stories of transformed graduates of the presidential Industrial skilling Hubs trained in several vocations and are now self-employed and involved in wealth creation
The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has affirmed to the electorate of Kanungu district the NRM government’s ability to deliver more social services and developments for Uganda if entrusted with yet another term of office.
He highlighted the NRM score card to the people of Kanungu including peace and security, economic and social development, wealth creation, jobs creation, markets and regional integration upon which he seeks re-election for yet another term of office.
Museveni has rallies leaders and residents of Kanungu district to embrace prioritization and budgeting discipline in the appropriation of government resources for socioeconomic transformation of the country
The Kanungu NRM District Chairperson Caleb Tumwesimire Kipande read the district status report highlighting the 30 billion shillings PDM gains, Emyooga and other Socio-economic empowerment funds.
Tumwesimire also acknowledged the impact in health, education and service delivery and pledged to ensure above 90% win for the NRM in the forthcoming general elections.
