BUNYORO- President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has promised to allocate funds for Sacco formed by graduates from the skilling industrial hub set across the country.
The president made the pledge last evening while commissioning the Bunyoro Zonal Industrial Hub in Masindi district.
Following the rampant school drop outs, the president decided to set up skilling centres across the country in all regions of Uganda to train the youth with practical skills that are employable in the current job market.
One such centre is the Bunyoro Zonal Industrial Hub located in Masindi district that has since produced graduates.
After informing the president about their success after attaining skills at Bunyoro Zonal Industrial Hub , the Prime minister informed the president how these youth are unable to progress because they do not have capital to start their personal businesses.
The President offered ten million shillings each. The President also promised to allocate funds for the Sacco formed by graduates from these skilling industrial hub set across the country.
The President has also directed that more practical courses be added for training in the industrial skilling hubs.
The Prime Minister used this occasion to make a proposal to have Museveni offer himself for 2026 and the president responded.
The function was also attended by the First Lady Janet Museveni who is also minister for Education.
