ANKOLE- President Museveni will start mobilization tour in Ankole sub region to monitor and further educate the population about the Parish Development Model PDM aiming to help all people get out of poverty and enter money economy.
This was disclosed by the state minister for investment and privitization Hon Evelyn Anite while addressing Ankole regional local leaders who converged at Mbarara City council offices Booma in Mbarara city north division
Anite revealed that the presidential tour begins with visiting selected farmers in Rubirizi then Sheema, and Ibanda districts to assess their progress under the PDM program.
According to the program on Wednesday, president Museveni will participate in touring and commissioning of the presidential skilling hub at Rushozi parish Rubaya sub-county Kashari south Mbarara district,and later meet leaders from the Ankole sub region at Bushenyi main stadium .
On Thursday, the president will address a public gathering at Mwizi primary school in Rwampara District and then conclude with a live interaction with the media on 28th,Feb ,2025.
The chairperson Ankole parliamentary caucus and MP Kashari north Mbarara district Bataringaya Bazil Rwankwene urged the public to continue supporting president Yoweri Museveni for his efforts invested in introducing several programs to fight poverty.
He said in the thirty nine years of NRM leadership through mobilization and education under operation wealth Creation OWC and now parish development model PDM poverty levels that were at sixty eight percent in 2022 has been lowered to 39 percent and continues to be fought.
