NEWS- Kabale Muslim District Council is hosting its 3rd Women’s Seminar, themed “Educate a Woman, Educate the Nation,” from August 30th to September 1st.

 The event, held at the Kabale Muslim District Headquarters, aims to empower women in religious, social, and economic spheres.

Speakers, including Birungyi Fatimah and Shakirah Mutesti, called on the government to consider Muslims in poverty alleviation programs, such as the PDM Program, which they say contradicts Islamic teachings.

They also appealed to President Museveni to appoint Muslim representatives to decision-making positions.

Hajati Kamalaba Zulaiha, Women Chairperson for Ndorwa Twaale, emphasized the importance of loving and caring for stepchildren and avoiding domestic violence, stressing that this is essential for the well-being of the Islamic community.

Kansiime Halimah, Secretary for Women and Children Affairs, highlighted the need for proper sanitation and hygiene to prevent infections, urging women to take proactive steps to protect their health.

Mrs. Siifah Kaduyu, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, encouraged women to prioritize Allah, forgive one another, and practice responsible parenting, emphasizing the importance of these values in promoting a harmonious and prosperous Muslim community.”
