KASESE- 27 Strong National Resistance Movement members from Nyakiyumbu sub-county Bukonzo County West in Kasese District have crossed to the Forum for Democratic change (FDC) complaining that their former party has failed to support them economically through provernement programs like the PDM among others
They were officially received by the Kasese Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Florence Kabugho and the party general secretary Mr. Alfred Kule Ikwera and yesterday in Nyakiyumbu sub-county with a call to them to be party mobilizers.
In her remarks after receiving the political party new members, Hon. Kabugho asked them to observe peace, unity and togetherness as pillars that would help the party to progress.
The legislator quoted the new members to be ambassadors of the FDC Party through mobilizing for more members.
Mr. Ikwera in his remarks described the crossing of NRM members into FDC as a sign which implies that FDC was still strong political party, received their party cards and asked them to join foot solders for the FDC party mobilization team
Mr. Manuel Bwambale Bikubi and Mr. Manuel Syathetha the former LCIII chairperson Nyakiyumbu sub-county who are the FDC party mobilizes in the area reported that they are on a move to make sure their party recruits more members into the party.
Some of the people who crossed reported that, their crossing was because their former political party was not minding about them in terms of access to socio-economic transformation programs among others.
