NEWS- Nyakinoni Senior Secondary School also known as the Chinese Campus has maintained its good performance in Uganda Certificate of Education Examination by increasing the number of First Grade to 37 students compared to 15 students they got in 2022.
The Headteacher Nyakinoni Senior Secondary School Dan Byabashaija said that the increment of First Grade in the 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education Examination has encouraged the upcoming candidates to vow that they will double the number next year.
Speaking to this reporter shortly after the results were released yesterday, Byabashaija said that their best student got 12 aggregates unlike in 2022 when they produced the best student who scored 8 aggregates in 8 subjects and became one of the best in the whole country.
He however said that this has been compensated with increasing the numbers in First Grade where 37 students emerged victorious, and 50 students got Second Grade, 70 got Third Grade and 43 came in Division Four.
Byabashaija hailed all the stakeholders that include, the Founding Body, the Board of Governors, the teaching and Non teaching staff, students, parents and all the well-wishers who have made it possible to ensure that the academic performance at Nyakinoni SSS improve in the last few years.
He particularly thanked the Chinese Embassy in Uganda through the China – Uganda Friendship for its support in infrastructural development at the school which has enabled the increased enrollment and all the material support that include the recently donated text books and equipment which has made the learning environment easy. He also thanked former Prime Minister Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi for initiating the friendship and collaboration.
Nyakinoni Senior Secondary School is a mixed O and A Level Boarding and Day school founded by the Church of Uganda under the Diocese of Kinkizi and is located in Nyakinoni Sub County in Kinkizi West Constituency in Kanungu District.
