Omusinga and NARO team after signing an MoU

NEWS- The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has signed a memorandum of understanding in patterning with the National Agriculture Research organization (NARO) as a way to bring the invasions closer.

This was reach at between the NARO members and the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu lead by the Rwenzururu king at Rwenzori international hotel in Kasese town.

While passing through the terms and conditions, Dr. Yona Baguma the Director General who also doubles as the chairman audit and risk management said is happy that the innovations are getting closer to the Kasese people.

He noted that people having no land has been a problem in the Rwenzori region and then capital to start small agricultural enterprises is also a challenge but he says this is going to be deal done if people embraces the works done by NARO.

He also used the same platform telling the entire audience that this is going to a source of income giving an example of citing one major crop like going and they start manufacturing it fully in kasese.

Dr. William Olaho Mukani the Chairperson NARO council said that if the people of kasese would welcome this would change in just few months to come.

Dr. mukani noted that they will not sleep they are going to make it a matter to be following up what they start and seeing the grow of it, then said that the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu should not look at the district leaders in a forgiving way rather to put pressure on them in maintaining this and extending it to the far areas around the district.

In his report the Omusinga Charles wisely Mumbere Iremangoma appreciated the partnerships of the NARO with the Rwenzururu kingdom upon choosing the Rwenzururu kingdom adding it to other kingdoms that they have been patterning with.

He says this is going to be of benefit to the subjects’ and hopes of the good relationship ever.

He committed himself to preach to all the subjects and as the Rwenzururu kingdom they are going to actively participate in this and are going to collaborate with NARO.
