BUSHENYI- The special presidential advisor – ONC Coordinator of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Hon. Haddija Namyalo Uzeyi has praised one of prominent party cadres in Bushenyi Counsel Amanya Cohen Kyampene for spearheading the gospel of exercising true human rights to the society.

Hon. Hadija Namyalo was presiding at the belated Bushenyi youths day celebrations on Thursday 7th December 2023 at Kizinda play ground in Igara West, Bushenyi district which was celebrated under the theme “skilling and empowering the youths”.

The celebration was graced by different leaders including Bushenyi Woman MP Hon. Katusiime Annet Mugisha, ONC Bushenyi coordinator Peace Tibigwisa, District boss Jaffari Basajjabalaba, district councilors, entrepreneurs, councilors and selected youth groups. Counsel Cohen Kyampene was also in attendance as one of the invited guests.

Hon Namyalo who was in a hurry introduced Counsel Amanya Cohen Kyampene with great honour and thanked him for being an example as far as human rights is concerned. Counsel Cohen Kyampene born from Kabale in Kakanju Sub County, Bushenyi district and works with Law Society Kenya.

The Chief Guest asked the entire community that whoever gets difficulty concerning Human rights should always consult Counsel Amanya Cohen Kyampene for assistance since he is an expert.

Introducing Counsel Amanya Cohen Kyampene at a youths day could not make news but being that it has long been rumored that he is eyeing the Igara West Constituency seat left many questions in his opponents’ ears and his supporters.

After his name was mentioned, the crowd clapped loudly and this created a lot of pressure and tension in the coming elections as rumour has it clear that he is standing on National Resistance Movement Ticket. He is already on ground doing community work like donating beds and mattresses to hospitals, building churches and rehabilitating roads.

Speaking to our reporter about youth day, Counsel Cohen Kyampene thanked the government for initiating programs aimed at fighting poverty amongst the youths and urged the youths to use the projects productively so that they can benefit from the current government.

He later tasked the youths and the entire community to work hand in hand so that they can eradicate poverty from the society.
