NEWS– The Bishop of Monastic Diocese of St. Benedict Charismatic Orthodox Church Kasese Rt. Rev. John Musonge has spoken tuff about political leaders in the District boycotting their church functions whenever they are invited.

The Monastic Diocese of St. Benedict Charismatic Orthodox Church Kasese on June 30th was ordaining their priests but no political leader turned up even when they had been invited earlier.

He says as church leaders, they are worried to why this has severally happened to their church compared to other denominations in the District.

This was in a press conference that was held at the Diocese headquarters in Kamulikwizi cell, Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality.

Bishop Musonge says all religions should be treated equally since their serve the same purpose of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

According to the bishop, there might be some people who are behind the act of mobilizing political leaders in the District to abstain from attending their events for yet unknown reasons.

He quoted both political leaders, religious and cultural leaders to observe unity, cooperation and togetherness as a tool to facilitate the smooth running of the church activities in the District.
