KASESE- There is panic in Kasese town as River Nyamwamba burst its banks.
This follows yesterday’s heavy rains that lasted for 3hrs that has seen most people who resides in the most affected areas including Salut, Kamulikwizi, Kizungu and kitoro to shift to safer places.
Redcross and Police are on ground to help people to evacuate to safer places and no injuries and death has been reported.
Mr. Livingstone Kato zunkuka an eye witness says facilities like Kisanga market commonly known as Mawa Market, Kizungu market and schools are also affected.
Maria Musoki a resident of Habitat in Nyamwamba Division asks government to come to their rescue.
SP Luke Mbusa the Rwenzori East region police Liaisons officer says the police is in control of the situation.
