NEWS– Parental Care Bushenyi, has again garnered 98.8% division one score in the just released 2023 Primary Leaving Examination results.
Of the 90 pupils who sat for 2023 PLE at Parental Care Primary School Bushenyi, 89 passed in division one.
8 pupils scored aggregate 5, fourteen pupils passed with aggregate 6, eighteen pupils got 7, twenty passed with aggregate 8, fourteen got aggregate 9, ten candidates got aggregate 10, three pupils pulled 11 aggregate, another three got 12 as the last one passed with the best division two.
The School again has surprised the country once again after it ranked among the top PLE performers in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality who emerged the overall best performers in the country.
Basiime Perez the Parental Care Primary School Bushenyi Headteacher told our reporter that their focus is on ensuring excellence, confidence, personal presentation, Life Skills and interpersonal communication to ensure personal competitiveness today and in the future.
Basiime highlighted the school’s commitment to maintaining a culture of excellence through hard work and collaboration among staff, emphasizing the positive trajectory for achieving even better results in the coming years.
Statistics from Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) indicate that 749,347 candidates registered across 14,153 examination centers, there was a 10% decline in PLE candidates compared to 2022.
The examination body clarified that this reduction aligns with the typical annual number of PLE candidates, excluding 2022 whose figures rose due to that fact in 2020 there were no national examinations due to COVID19.
Female candidates constituted 52%, while male candidates made up 48%. The majority of examination centers, 79%, are Universal Primary Education (UPE) schools, hosting 501,619 candidates, while the remaining 21% are non-UPE centers with 247,728 candidates.
Additionally, 70% are funded under the Universal Primary Education (UPE) Program, and the remaining 30% are privately sponsored. 2,580 were candidates with Special Needs.
Parental Care Nursery & Primary School is a Private sponsored School in Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality Western Uganda. The school has both Nursery and Primary sections running from Baby class to Primary seven.
