Uganda's 11th Parliamentarians in Plenary

KAMPALA- The Parliament of Uganda will today afternoon host a special Easter Carols and Holy Communion Service organized by the Anglican Parliamentary Chaplaincy, bringing together Members of Parliament and staff for a moment of worship and reflection during the Easter season.

The service is scheduled to take place at the Parliamentary Conference Hall starting at 4pm and the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda The Most Rev Dr Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, will preside over the event as the Main Celebrant. 

The Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Among will be the Chief Host, and the event highlights the value placed on faith and spirituality within the Parliamentary institution.

The Government Chief Whip and Chairperson of the Anglican Parliamentary Chaplaincy Council, Hon Denis Hamson Obua made an official notice called upon all Members of Parliament and Parliamentary staff to attend the event.

Hon Obua noted that the service is expected to be an uplifting occasion of prayer and fellowship as Parliament marks the Easter season in unity and faith.
