Robinah Nabbanja being received at Fiumicino Airport by Uganda's Ambassador to Italy Elizabeth Paula

NEWS- The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon Nabbanja Robinah has arrived in Rome Italy to represent President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at a two-day Italy-Africa Summit which starts today, January 28th 2023.

On arrival at Fiumicino Airport, the Prime Minister was received by the Head of Uganda’s Mission in Italy Ambassador Elizabeth Paula Napeyok and her deputy Ambassador Alinemary Kemerwa Kenyangi and the summit organised by the Italian government will run from 28th to 29th January 2024.

The summit has attracted over 50 delegates, mainly from African countries, as well as European Union leaders and representatives of international organizations and the purpose of the conference is to present Italy’s strategic plan that aims at reviewing the country’s approach to the African continent.

The plan is due to cost around U€ 3 million per year and has a four-year duration and its goal is to enhance energy cooperation with African countries and help them in the areas of health and education among other sectors.

The Summit brings together senior government officials who will have the chance to discuss challenges in investing assets in the current uncertain environment and learn from best-in-class allocators and selected asset management firms.
