KAMPALA- The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah has today held a meeting with the New UN Resident Coordinator in Uganda Leonard Zulu paid a courtesy visit at her offices in Kampala.
Zulu who hails from Zimbabwe was appointed by the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Uganda with the host Government’s approval on 1st November 2024 and the Prime Minister congratulated Zulu on the appointment and welcomed him to Uganda and pledged maximum cooperation.
The UN Resident Coordinator is the highest-ranking representative of the UN Development System at the country level and leads UN Country Teams and coordinate support to countries in implementing the 2030 Agenda.
Zulu has more than 20 years of experience in humanitarian action, development, peace building, human rights, and the protection of refugees, asylum-seekers and stateless persons.
