NEWS- The Police of Kabale District have instituted investigations into circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified male adult approximately 27 – 30 years old, whose lifeless body was this morning discovered lying in a trench of water at Nyangade cell in Mwanjari Ward, Southern Division in Kabale Municipality along Katuna road
Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly Maate said that a yet to be identified person was today April 14th 2025 discovered lying in the trench by residents who informed the Police at Kabale Central Police Station.
Maate told journalists that upon receiving the information, Police visited the scene, processed and documented by the District CID Hakim Mukama and team and body was retrieved and taken to Kabale Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.
According to the Police preliminary findings the body had fresh bruises in the face and the neck and investigations in the alleged matter have immediately commenced and the sniffer dog was introduced but nothing was achieved.
Maate said that efforts to identify the body are still on going, and anyone missing the dear one should visit the Hospital Mortuary so that is identified and taken for a decent burial as inquiries continues.
