Police Recover body in Kasese Municipality

The Police in Kasese District are investigating circumstances under which a man only known as Robert was allegedly assaulted to death.

The Rwenzori East Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate confirmed that the deceased body was recovered today morning at Town Center Cell, in Central Division of Kasese Municipality in Kasese District.

Maate explained that the deceased body was found at a corridor on Kasese main street around Pride Micro Finance Bank, Kasese Branch.

Maate disclosed that when the Police were informed, they visited the scene of crime with a Canine, and documented it and
the body was taken to Kasese Health Center III Mortuary for postmortem examination.
The deceased had external injuries of beatings and the Canine tracked and lost track.

Maate has since asked anyone with information that can lead the Police to those involved to volunteer it so that the law can take its course, as investigations continue.
