NEWS– The Police have confirmed seven people to have died after a Police patrol truck on which they were travelling overturned. The incident occurred at Kabaale village in Kikuube district.
The Police Spokesperson of Albertine Region Julius Hakiza, said the vehicle was carrying suspects by the time the accident happened.
Among the deceased include 4 Police officers and 3 other occupants who are a reported to have been suspects on the patrol car also died on the spot.
2 critically injured Police constables were rushed to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital.
“The accident occurred last evening, when our patrol went back on this village to search the house of one suspect who is connected with a murder incident that occurred last week”Hakiza said on Thursday.
Hakiza added that two other Police officers were taken to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital in critical condition.
