President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at the NRM Headquarters

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today officially accepted calls and demands from the National Resistance Movement party supporters to seek another term in office as party chairman and President of the Republic of Uganda.

President Museveni personally arrived at the NRM Headquarters on Plot 10 Kyadondo Road in Kampala to pick nomination forms an indication that he wants to rule Uganda for the next 5 years.

The President was received at the NRM Headquarters by the top party leaders led by the Vice President Major Jessica Alupo Epel, the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Among and her Deputy Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa, the Vice Chairman of the NRM Alhajji Moses Kigongo among many others including enthusiastic crowds who chanted songs of praise and encouragement for another term for the President.

While addressing the top party leaders and supporters, President Museveni said that he is seeking re-election to consolidate the gains of his leadership in the next five years and ensure that wealth creation for households become a reality.

The President also hinted that he will use the next five years to wipe out corruption in all state institutions and warns all those involved to watch their practices before they are embrassed.

President Museveni was accompanied at the NRM Headquarters by his wife Mrs Janet Kataha Museveni who is also the Minister of Education and Sports.
