While meeting with leaders of Greater Luweero at Timnah School Grounds in Mabaale village Kasana Town, President Museveni said that children are not in school on account of school fees, then leaders must move towards free education at all levels.
President Museveni also discussed with the leaders how to increase the Parish Development Model funds while consolidating the gains of existing beneficiaries and priorities remain on household income and wealth creation, infrastructural development, market integration and education for all.
He told the people of Luwero not to ask for Municipality or City because the people need income, security, jobs and infrastructure because they matter for economic transformation.
Meanwhile President Museveni has congratulated Members of Parliament on passing of the UPDF amendment bill 2025 to try armed civilian murderers in the General Court Martial.
President Museveni said that Members of Parliament who supported the amendment saved the country from doom of shielding armed civilians and soldiers who commit murder from apprehension.
He advised the anti-amendment forces to leave issues of the army to the rightful authorities and tasked them to apologize for the grave mistake they attempted to lure the country into that would potentially lead to chaos.
