The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has promised to revive tea prices by assisting farmers to improve on their garden management practices and additional financing to the sector.

The pronouncement follows his research on the causes of tea price fluctuations that revealed quality compromise by farmers affecting tea prices on the global market which he has promised to address.

While addressing the NRM presidential campaign rally at St Leo College playgrounds in Fort Portal City President Museveni guided the people of Kabarole district and Fort Portal City to diversify into commercial enterprises recommended in the manifesto for easy attainment of wealth for individuals and homesteads.

President Museveni affirmed Uganda’s industrialization strides to the people of Kabarole district and Fort Portal City as massive wealth creation strategy and cited several industrial parks established across the country in areas of Namanve, Kapeeka, Mbale, Mukono and others.

He  revealed job opportunities in manufacturing and additional sectors like the services sector, commercial agriculture and skills that he says the NRM government is focused on scaling up moving forward.

President useveni has ordered for evaluation of the maintenance cost per kilometer of Murram roads in Kabarole district to counter the suspected misuse of road maintenance funds for district authorities and explained why he initiated an annual allocation of one billion shillings every financial year to each district for road maintenance to easy mobility of goods and services, he however detests the quality of work done by some district engineers.

President Museveni promised to re-evaluate the district deliverables on roads maintenance including investigations on suspected corrupt officials who misuse the funds and challenged leaders across board to embrace prioritization in planning for government services.

President Museveni asked the electorate of Fort Portal City and Kabarole district to further entrust the NRM government with National leadership to foster the prevailing peace, development and socioeconomic transformation of the country.

The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate said that the NRM government has ably established a stable foundation for Uganda through politics of unity on which national institutions are founded and explained how the NRM has defeated all threats to Uganda’s peace and stability as he affirmed his readiness to steward uganda forward for the next 5 years.

The President further guided the people of Kabarole district and Fort Portal City on the utilisation of development in their area for wealth creation at individual and household levels and said that he is committed to expand socioeconomic empowerment schemes like the Parish Development Model and Emyooga to reach more clusters of people as part of the mass wealth creation drive for all.

Meanwhile the NRM Secretary General Hon Todwong Richard has applauded the people of Kitagwenda District for their continued trust in the NRM and in President Kaguta Museveni, noting that this confidence has been central to the district’s ongoing transformation.

While speaking at a rally in Kitagwenda District, Hon Todwong highlighted that the District progress is evident across several key sectors: the near-100% disbursement of PDM funds, increased participation in Emyooga programs.

He also said that support is seen through the expansion of government schools, upgrades to health facilities, major water projects, irrigation initiatives, and the extension of electricity to more Sub-Counties.

He emphasized that these achievements reflect the district’s dedication to steady and consistent leadership and added that the party remains committed to protecting and expanding these accomplishments in the next term of office.
