NEWS– President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is in Greater Luwero for the Parish Development Model program assessment yesterday visited a beneficiary identified as Mariam Baiga who is a dedicated model farmer in Bamunanika county.
The President said that he was happy with Ms Baiga’s progress in managing a diverse farm with cattle, poultry, coffee and bananas.
He promised that the government will continue to support her efforts to inspire other farmers and help lift them out of poverty and into the money economy and will return to check on the farm’s progress.
Earlier yesterday the President visited a Parish Development Model identified aa Nakayenga Damali in Wobulenzi, who is ‘walking’ after receiving funds and putting them to good use.
The President noted that it is very important to appreciate the implementation of Parish Development Model program because it has proved that some people have never owned Ugx 1 million and the money once received and put to good use it can change people’s lives.
