The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has promised to establish a permanent barracks at Kibale forest in Kamwenge District to boost security around that tourism corridor
The pronouncement was in response to a request by the Kamwenge NRM District Chairperson Frank Tumwebaze and President Museveni promised to effect the decision immediately.
While addressing a rally at Kyabenda primary schools Playgrounds in Kamwenge District, President Museveni tasked residents to foster peace and security by brought by the NRM government.
The President announced an additional financial support schemes for Village Health Teams known as VHTs, boda boda riders, Coffee seedlings supply plans to farmers and an industrial park for Kamwenge District to boost wealth and jobs creation opportunities for the people.
President Museveni noted that the contribution of Village Health Teams and other crucial service providers are highly recognized by the NRM government and plans have been laid for further boosting.
President Museveni assured the people of Kamwenge District of government plans to tarmac Kihura – Kahunje – Bwizi – Mpara road and Kamwenge – Kongoro – Forest – Rwimi road to further improve Mobility and interconnectivity with in the district and asked the people to vote for NRM to ensure that these projects are done.
He said that the NRM government’s infrastructural development plan is steadily on course as witnessed in the thriving aspects of electricity distribution, improved road net work, telecommunication services and water distribution among others.
President Museveni guided the people of Kamwenge District on strategic harnessing of wealth at their individual and household levels and mentioned good enterprise selection and sustainable land use for Micro and large scale land owners.
He mentions enterprises in commercial agriculture that include poultry, dairy farming, coffee farming, fish farming, piggery and others that he has recommended to the people of Kamwenge District to embrace for assured wealth.
President Museveni has recommended the scale up of irrigation initiative to farmers in Kamwenge District to boost their agricultural yields and production and cited the Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development in Bushenyi district as a model farm for commercial agriculture with irrigation
The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Museveni has affirmed the NRM government strategy to increase industrial towns as a jobs creation plan on top of commercial agriculture, manufacturing and the services sector and guided on the available job opportunities in those key sectors and also revealed plans to increase support for commercial agriculturists as a job creation aspect.
