Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja and her team arriving at Mulago National Referral Hospital

The Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja yesterday March 10th joined female health workers of Mulago National Referral Hospital to commemorate their belated International Women’s Day. 

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of State for Health in charge of General duties Hon Anifa Kawooya, the Head of Public service head Ms Nakyobe Lucy, the Monistry of Health Permanent Secretary Dr Diana Atwine and a cross-section of technical officials lauded Mulago hospital for continuing to register important milestones in advancing specialised healthcare. 

Prime Minister Nabbanja said that she was grateful that Mulago National Referral Hospital under the able leadership of the NRM government, has among others, expanded organ transplant services, particularly in renal transplantation, giving hope to patients who previously had limited treatment options. 

Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja was received at Mulago National Referral Hospital by the Executive Director Dr Rosemary Byanyima Kusaba who briefed her about the operations of the facility, opportunities and challenges faced which need government attention.

After conducting a guided tour of the Hospital, Rt Hon Nabbanja expressed her deepest appreciation to the female health workers of Mulago Hospital for their valuable contributions to the health and wellbeing of Uganda.
