Nabbanja displays the Gold medal she received as a gift from the IOC President Thomas Bach

KAMPALA- The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon Robinah Nabbanja yesterday visited Makerere University Business School on a drive to promote the Leisure, Events and Hotel Management profession.

The Department of Leisure, Events and Hospitality is one of the departments under the Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Languages (FTHL) at Makerere University Business School, an affiliate of Makerere University.

The Department seeks to be a benchmark for academic and professional excellence in the field of Leisure, Events and Hospitality business Management in the region.

The Prime Minister was in company of Minister of State for Tourism Hon Mugarra Bahinduka and that of Youth and Children Affairs Dr Balam Barugahara Ateenyi among other diginataries.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister Rt Hon Nabbanja has engaged with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach in a pivotal discussion where she pledged Uganda’s support for the IOC Refugee Campaign.

The International Olympic Committee Refugee Campaign aim at advancing sports development and provide new opportunities for refugees in Uganda.

Duuring the meeting, the International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach, presented a gold medal to the Prime Minister as a special gift and the Minister of State for Sports Hon Peter Ogwang witnessed the event.
