Suspects going back to remand

KAMPALA- The 5 people arrested in connection with the murder of Ndiga clan head Eng. Daniel Bbosa Kakeedo have asked the Mwanga II court to set them free since the Prime suspect in the case was arrested and confessed to orchestrating the murder alone.

The five say they are innocent and it’s not fair that they are kept in prison as their young families are suffering back home.

Their prayer has also been backed by the key suspect Luggya Tabula who has informed Grade one magistrate Adams Byarugaba that even though the 5 are his relatives, they are innocent except for his nephew Luggya whom he sent to shoot at Eng. Kakeedo.

The magistrate however informed the suspects that he has no jurisdiction to hear the case and that the question of their innocence or guilt can only be determined by the High court where the state will commit them for trial on 24th October.

They have been further remanded.
