Chopper’s death comes at a time when the media fraternity in Uganda, particularly in the central region, is still mourning following the sudden and mysterious death of CBS FM journalist Jimmy Ssekabiito, a respected reporter who was based in Ssembabule District.
Ssekabiito reportedly left his home on Thursday to attend a friend’s wedding ceremony scheduled for today, Friday June 27, in Lubaga, Kampala. However, shock rippled through the media community and his family by Friday morning as news of his unexplained death began to circulate.
Sources at Lubaga Hospital, where his was rushed to on the fateful day, confirmed that Ssekabiito was brought in while already deceased. He was reportedly transported on a boda boda motorcycle under suspicious circumstances.
