Kinkizi West Member of Parliament Hon James Ruggi Kaberuka has thanked the Members of Rotary Club of Kihihi for the work it is doing to empower communities.
Kaberuka made the remarks on Saturday evening June 14th at Goro Cottages in Kihihi while speaking as the Guest of Honour during a function of installing the club’s 14th President.
Hon Kaberuka further thanked the members of Rotary Club of Kihihi for the healthy care support that it has always given to Bwindi Community Hospital as well as the water supply to the communities, among other tremendous achievements.
The outgoing President Tuyishime Erasmus, highlighted some of the achievements attained during his tenure, such as protected clean water in Rutenga, distribution of sanitary pads in different schools in Kanungu District, construction of 8 pit latrines in schools among many others.
While Speaking as the Chief Guest the Assistant Governor Angella Ssemukutu thanked the international partners for the endless support that they have always given to Rotary Club Kihihi. She also inducted 12 new Rotarians.
During the function, the former Kanungu District Education Officer Sunday Charles was installed as the new President of the club while Asasira Blessing was installed President of Rotaractors replacing Micheal Namara.
Hon Kaberuka contributed Ugx 1 million to the Rotary Club of Kihihi new President as a starting point of his leadership journey and the function was also attended by Rotarians from different Districts of Uganda.
