NEWS- Hundreds of Patriotic League of Uganda Supporters from Rukungiri on Wednesday 24th 2024 gathered to celebrate the 50th Birthday of their pressure Group founder, first son and Chief of Defense Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
The supporters commenced the celebrations with a convoy of happiness from Rukungiri main stadium, via several streets in town to the district headquarters and climaxed at Rukungiri Inn, in Eastern Division where the main event was held.
Addressing the crowds at Rukungiri Inn, Mujuni Lawrence Mpitsi who is eyeing the Rubabo County Parliamentary seat lectured them on the need to be patriotic stressing that the PLU is on the right angle that will keep the country on the development agenda.
Mpitsi pointed out that Ugandans are blessed to have a leader in General Muhoozi Kainerugaba who was nartured by a great Pan Africanist, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni with optimism that he can as well serve the Country’s needs.
He pointed out that in a country where citizens are patriotic, cases of corruption and other inhumane tendencies are nolonger in existence and that the PLU is leading the same direction that will steer development in the country rallying the citizens to back it up with guarantee that it will deliver according to their needs.
“I want to assure you that PLU principles are directly in line with those of Pan-Africanism all aimed at ensuring that Ugandans despite the difference in age, education are all well off. I want everyone here to clap for whoever started this for it will yield much” he said.
Mpitsi went on and asked Ugandans to love their country first, with optimism that such a spirit will create a sense of togetherness and cohesion that will finally solve some problems that have been hindering this Country’s development.
Innocent Turyahabwe aka Kaino, the Rukungiri District PLU coordinator rallied residents to support the Patriotic League of Uganda right from the grassroot and hailed the Rukungiri district leadership for the support rendered to this organization that was on a short notice stressing that this is a testimony that people like Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Ambrose Kibuuka, also from the PLU national mobilization taskforce expressed gratitude to Kainerugaba’s 50th birthday celebrations in Rukungiri noting that this is a milestone and a testimony that Ugandans are overwhelmingly accepting the gospel of supporting Muhoozi to the Country’s top leadership seat.
Kibuuka confirmed that they are only waiting for the President to give them the final decision on when they should set off to the ground to mobilise countrymen and women when time is due.
“Am very happy for this milestone Kainerugaba has taken in life. 50 years is not a joke and I pary that God sees you to even 100 years and beyond as we wait to vote you for presidency. Happy birthday Gen Muhozi Kainerugaba our Chief of Defense Forces- CDF” said Kibuuka.
Byaruhanga Chrysostom Rwakana, the Rukungiri Business Community Chairperson pointed out that the Country is blessed to have Kainerugaba who such a mass can gather to celebrate his birthday. He was happy that an increment in the population due to this function was a great pleasure to the business community who had the items bought.
Tumweisgye George Owakukiroru, a PLU supporter and mobiliser in Rukungiri Municipality was grateful that Ugandans are embracing this move to ensure that there is a smooth transition of power once President Museveni leaves power.
“Kainerugaba has come at a real time. I have evaluated his programs and he is able to deliver the peaceful transition of power that I have for long fought for. Therefore, for preparation, continuation and peace in power transition, I believe PLU is the best way to go” said Owakukiroru.
Born on April 24, 1974 was on Wednesday April, 2024 celebrating 50 years.
