She noted that Rubanda District is famous for electoral violence and extremist activities that usually climax on voting days, but her approach would be non-violent and therefore expected her supporters to follow suit.

The current Woman MP for Ruabanda District is Ms. Prossy Mbabazi Akampurira who is serving her second term in office and holds the position of commissioner in the 11th Parliament.

“It’s true that when we decide to contest against the incumbent MPs, we are convinced that they have failed to perform to our expectations, but abusing them or anything related or violence against them is wrong, “Ms. Katabazi said.

Ms. Katabazi used the same platform to caution Ugandans against selling their votes urging them to keep demanding for better and improved service delivery, as the only reason for engaging in Political activities.

“Avoid accepting to sell your vote at any price, because you’re going to have to wait for five more years to get that money again,” she said.

Ms. Katabazi contributed Ugx. 1 Million out of the Ugx. 1.2 million that Christians were mobilizing to make electric wire installations at Kyokyezo Church of Uganda.
