NEWS– Rubanda district local government officials led by the District Chairperson Ampeire Steven Kasyaba on Monday July 23rd 2024 verified 6 students for the district Quota Admission’s Scheme for the 2024/2025 academic year.
The six students performed very well in last year’s UACE Exams and are all from schools in Rubanda district.
The six students are; Twikirize Betty and Ayebare Betty from St. Agatha Girls Secondary school Kakore, Niwatwine Anitah and Arinda Pamella all from Muko High school, Kato Dismus from Bufundi College and Tumwebaze Honest from Bubare Secondary school.
Addressing the students and their head teachers, at the district, the Rubanda district Chairperson Ampeire Steven Kasyaba challenged the students to appreciate whatever their parents have given them.
Kasyaba said that most of the students are over taken by earthly pressure, others will be taken by sugar daddies and Mummies who after destroying their life only.
He further warned them against thinking of jobs saying books and academic qualifications should be the first priority and after graduation it’s when they should think of getting jobs.

Kasyaba attributed the best performance to the unity between head teachers district Political team and technical staff.
He added that under his leadership as the district chairperson, they are advocating for an increase in numbers that are taken under quota system in districts to at least up to 10- 15 students.

Some of the students Niwatwine Anitah 17aggregates, Arinda Pamela 17 aggregates and Kato Dismus 18 aggregates challenged their fellow students in secondary schools to work hard like they did if they were to enjoy fruits from the government through district quota Admission scheme.
