NEWS- The Police in Rubanda District have arrested a 26 years old man identified aa Ahumuza Dismus a resident of Rwembungu cell in Bubare Town Council for allegedly for having carnal knowledge of an 11 years old girl a pupil at Nyamiyaga primary school and resident of the same above address.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly Maate confirmed the incident and said that it occurred on the 17th February 2025 at Rwembugu Cell, in Nyamiyaga Ward in Bubare Town Council in Rubanda district.
It’s alleged that one Twinamasiko Enid left her 11 years old daughter with other four siblings at home preparing supper and when she came back home and found the children crying inside the house.
Upon inquiring why they were crying, she was told that a certain man had attacked them and defiled the victim and she then reported the case to police for investigations and a case file was opened and investigations commenced.
Maate said that the suspect was arrested to help Police with investigation and other key witnessed identified and their statements have been recorded as more inquiries still ongoing to have the suspect prosecuted.
