NATIONAL- Rubirizi district has officially announced and confirmed its first ever sports Executive committee. The announcement was made during the meeting held at Rubirizi district headquarters on Tuesday 24th February 2024 in the afternoon.
Our reporter who attended the meeting confirmed to us about this development stressing that the committee is to be chaired by Byamukama Innocent Madudu deputized by Madam Nagaba Zubeda with Tumusiime Geoffrey as the General secretary and Mwarimu Juma the treasurer as Gunga Francis was appointed the Publicity secretary.
Other members are Twinamatsiko Moses in charge of primary schools, Mr Brian Kayongo for secondary schools, Mr Turyasiima Musa for tertiary institutions, Mr Arinaitwe Justus incharge for Katerera Sub – county, Ms Musimenta Winfred for Bunyaruguru constituency and Mr Tugume Muzafaru representing District Football Association.
Speaking to our reporter, Tugume Muzafaru also confirmed the above list adding that there are other ex-officials who were added on the committee to help in developing sports in the district.
These ex-officials are Aguba Silvester (district chairman), Mr. Kikanshemeza Bruno (RDC), Kasagara Edward (CAO), Biiru Steven (DEO) , Suna Akim (office of the inspector of schools ) and Hon Twinamatsiko Nickolas (Youth Representative ).
