The Police Rukiga District are currently investigating circumstances sorrounding a serious road crash which occured last night at Kakatunda Cell, along Ntungamo – Kabale Highway.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Nelson Tumushime has confirmed crash that involved a Motor vehicle registration number UBM 073F and Motorcycle registration number UEL 139Q.
Tumushime identified the victims as 45 year old Lure Edward, a Boda Boda Rider and a resident of Kakatunda in Bukinda Sub county Rukiga District.
It’s alleged that the Motor vehicle was coming from Ntungamo heading to Kabale and when it reached to Kakatunda it joined an opposite lane thereby colliding with the on coming Motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle and the passenger sustained serious injuries the Traffic Police responded and transported the injured to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for medical Care and the Police have since caution the motorists to drive carefully and to have respect for other Road users.
