NTUNGAMO- The prospective MP Rushenyi county Mr. Ambrose Kyenjoga a.k.a Ekyererezi Ky’Entunguuka urged the government of Uganda to take the focus on the alarming crisis in essential government sectors where beneficiaries are hampered.
According to him a lot is lacking in some sectors despite the gestured efforts to fight poverty by Ugandan government leadership under the stewardship of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Mr. Kyenjoga the NRM staunch supporter and the then councilor representing Rubaare sub county says government’s lack of focus on the alarming crisis in essential government sectors and the beneficiaries remain in that dilemma of crisis it will hinder NRM’s manifesto.
While citing diminishing service delivery in some developmental sectors, he highlighted Agriculture sector where the farmers record low markets to consume their produces hence end up consuming by themselves without profits.
He told our reporter that also government should prioritize to introduce irrigation schemes to curtail the changes of climate conditions that where necessary people can use it to irrigate their crops.
He said it is a worrying situation in Ntungamo district that farmers continue to suffer the glitches in agriculture without enough markets for their produce yet the president is emphasizing the agricultural projects like the four acre model to push each household out of poverty and also discourages subsistence farming.
He also underscored other sectors like water, education, road infrastructures, health among others that there are inflicted with some gaps in service delivery.
He also noted that some leaders have not taken the first priority to essential Sectors like roads which help farmers to connect to low markets available to distribute their products to fetch money for their well-being.
He added that if the incumbents have something done on the ground, as aspirants will proceed to spearhead the development on the ground in the designated area.
The hopeful Kyenjoga is of the view that if the government exempts tax on water to benefit the people of Uganda among the taxed sectors, there will be a relief on expenditure since water is life.
He thinks that if water is tax exempted from other sectors Ugandans would breathe since water is most important to people.
