NKD Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe

RUKUNGIRI- Christians have been urged to seek God’s kingdom and righteousness above all else because he has all powers to break chains of evil in this earth.

This message was made by Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe the North Kigezi diocesan Bishop while preaching at the confirmation of Christians and during his maiden visit at Kakonkoma church of Uganda in Rujumbura Archdeaconry.

He told Christians that they need to value the acceptance of Jesus Christ as their personal savior and love one another if we are to enter heaven.

Bishop Asiimwe says some families have been bonded by chains which have affected their development therefore it’s every person’s obligation to accept Jesus and break all the barriers in life.

He commended the good work that is being done by Christians of Kakonkoma church of Uganda led by Rev Andrew Mwogyera and head of laity Mrs Allen Bizirigyi especially completing their quota in time and the ongoing church construction which he supported with one million cash together with his family.

Allen Bizirigyi the head of laity Kakonkoma church of Uganda thanked the bishop for visiting their church and supporting them in church construction and confirming Christians in their faith.

She highlighted that as christians they are working hard in construction of their new church to accommodate the increasing number of Christians, and so far as Kakonkoma church of Uganda they have already surveyed Church land to overcome church land grabbers.

According to Rev Andrew Mwogyera the parish priest Kakonkoma church of Uganda 81 christians were confirmed in their faith and thanked the bishop for visiting them and christians for giving him a warm welcome.

 Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe was assisted by Ven. Dickson Kakanyisa of Rujumbura Archdeaconry and other clergy and the ceremony was graced by Maama Florence Asiimwe and Maama Edith Kahigwa the wife to former North Kigezi diocesan Bishop late John Wilson Kahigwa.
