ANKOLE- Tension has gripped residents and health practitioners in Sheema District following the disappearance of a 28-year-old clinical officer in Sheema Municipality.
Police records indicate that Isaac Ainamatsiko 28, a clinical officer and a health centre in charge attached to Kihunda Health Centre III in Kagango division, Sheema Municipality went missing since December 12, according to SS Martial Tumusiime, the greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson.
Ainamatsiko of Tree Shed cell, Kabwohe ward, Kabwohe division reportedly told his wife Mercy Akatwihayo that he was going to the nearby trading centre to buy airtime.
At around 8:30 pm, the victim informed the wife that he had no airtime and that he was going to buy it. He proceeded to a nearby mobile money agent.
Akatwihayo who reported that her husband has since not returned, told police that he left his two mobile cell phones at home.
“The victim did not come back, the wife informed the relatives who joined hands to search for the victim until in the evening when they failed to locate him and decided to report to the police,” Tumusiime said.
