IN another development, the Uganda Police has issued an Easter Massage in which they advised all Church goers to exercise caution in their surroundings and collaborate effectively with security agencies at their places of worship.
According to a statement released by the Uganda Police and signed by the Police Spokesman Kituuma Rusoke, Easter is a central and sacred period in Christianity marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the event is not only historical but a commemoration and celebration of renewal, hope and promise of Eternal life.
The Uganda Police therefore strongly urge citizens to maintain heightened vigilance and awareness during Easter festivals since these events sometimes amplify vulnerability to criminal activities and therefore individual vigilance, community watch programs and enhanced premises measures are crucial to ensure successful festivals.
Kituuma Rusoke made passionate plea to motorists and pedestrians as well plus all road users to adhere to road safety regulations to minimise accidents along the major highways.
