KAMPALA- The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, has urged Ugandan legislators participating in the East Africa Parliamentary Games to exhibit the highest level of discipline.
Among made these remarks during the flagging off of the members of Parliament and staff who will be representing Uganda in the games, scheduled to take place from December 7th to 12th in Mombasa
She emphasized that while the MPs should aim to win, they must do so with integrity, maintaining discipline at all times.
The State Minister for Sports, Peter Ogwang, expressed his gratitude to Parliament for its continued support of the sports sector and urged the MPs to promote East African integration through their participation.
The chairperson of parliaments sports Association Asuman Basalirwa, assured that the team is well-prepared and will compete in several sports, pledging to represent Uganda with pride.
