KAMPALA- The Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Among has today had the pleasure of meeting an innovative group of young people from the Rokoba Group in Lower Madi Constituency.
The Group was accompanied by their Area Member of Parliament Hon Afidra Ronald and this group is making a significant impact by transforming old tyres and plastics into shoes, sandals, carpets and other useful items.
The Speaker noted that the group’s creativity and resourcefulness are truly commendable and are in line with the government policy of community transformation through skilling.
On behalf of Parliament, Speaker Amongi pledged continued support through budgetary allocations aimed at skilling and empowering the youth to help them realize their potential and contribute to our nation’s development.
