The Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Jacob Marksons Oboth, has arrived in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania to attend the 21st Meeting of the East African Community (EAC) Bureau of Speakers.
The meeting brings together Speakers from the East African Community partner States to deliberate on strengthening regional cooperation and advancing the integration agenda of the Community.
In addition, the Bureau is planning and streamlining preparations for the 16th Edition of the East African Parliamentary Games, which will be hosted by the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) in Arusha from 4th to 16th December 2026.
The Games, a flagship event on the parliamentary calendar, provide a platform for legislators and parliamentary staff from across the region to promote unity, widening, deepening and strengthening the East african intergration.
