NEWS– The Territorial Police in Kabale District are hunting for driver of a vehicle which knocked a motorcyclist and killed him instantly but drove away unnoticed.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly Maate said that unknown driver of a motor vehicle was involved in a road crash with yet unknown motor cycle that was being ridden by Mushemererwa Medard now a resident of Kabahesi village in Kikore Parish in Kamuganguzi Subcounty in Kabale district.
Maate said that the hit and run accident happened yesterday August 1st 2024 at Kicumbi along Kabale – Katuna road.
Maate said that the Police were notified and they visited the scene and documented it and the body of the deceased was conveyed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.
Maate said that inquiries are at hand to get the particulars for the vehicles involved that was involved in the hit and run and the case was registered at Kabale Central Police Station under reference number TAR 66/2024 to help in investigations
