NEWS- A group of Members of Parliament led by Lwemiyaga County legislator Theodore Ssekikubo say they will notify the clerk to Parliament on Monday next week about their next move in their censure motion against the four Commissioners of Parliament.
This according to Hon. Ssekikubo is after attaining the required signatures for Parliament to debate the censure motion on issues surrounding the parliamentary commissioners regarding the service award which they claim to be corruption.
MP Ssekikubo who was accompanied by Kalungu West MP Joseph Ssewungu, Kasanda North MP Patrick Nsamba, Kalungu East MP Francis Katabazi, Kajara County MP Micheal Timuzigu Kamugisha unveiled 186 signatures to the media
The Lwemiyaga County Legislator asked fellow MPs to be alert so that they don’t miss the sitting when the Speaker puts this motion on the order paper.

Hon Ssekikubo added that due to public demand, the presiding speaker should not even wait for the 14 days to put the motion on the order paper but rather allow them to debate it earlier to have the issue sorted there and then.
He commended MPs for responding to their call to fight corruption.

It should be remembered that over the past one month, a group of MPs led by Lwemiyaga County legislator Theodore Ssekikubo, began collecting signatures to support a motion to censure parliamentary commissioners Mathias Mpuuga, Prossy Akampurira, Esther Afoyochan, and Solomon Silwany whom they accuse of awarding themselves 1.7 billion shillings as a service award without the House’s approval.
