RUKUNGIRI- St Paul’s Secondary School Kazindiro on Sunday August 18th 2024 emerged Victorious in their friendly football match against Rujumbura Institute of Business and Technology at Kazindiro Playground in Kazindiro Praish, Bugangari Sub County, Rukungiri district.
Kazindiro won the game at the penalty shootout after a one goal in the normal minutes of play, in a game sponsored by Boaz Ruteera, a famous coffee and banana farmer as well as the Bugangari Archdeaconry Head of Laity.
While officiating at the function, Ruteera hailed the are legislator Hon Maj Gen Jim Katugugu Muhwezi for supporting the minds behind RIBTEC, led by Brian Akatwijuka stressing that it is now offering market most agricultural produce in the area.
The sponsor showed gratitude to the St Paul’s Kazindiro SS Headteacher Ahimbisiibwe Dan and his staff for fostering talent identification and development, pledging that he will always organize this competition.
He also highlighted his December plan where he wants competition between Kazindiro and Kashayo Parishes in December 2024 as well as adult competition between Kazindiro Catholic Church and Rwanyanja Church of Uganda.
Ruteera awarded the competition winners with Ugx 1,000,000 and Ugx 500,000 for the First runners up on top of offering scholarship to the St Paul’s Kazindiro SS Goalkeeper and the RIBATEC’s day’s best player.

Brain Akatwijuka the director of RIBTEC hailed the competition organizer and asked parents to support this institute since it has been established within their area to save them from trekking to distant places in search for higher education knowledge and skills.

Dan Ahimbisiibwe Bahamire stressed that his team couldn’t lose the game when he is the District’s Sports Chairman for Secondary Schools and Vice President for Kigezi Region adding that the school has already succeed in different sports fields and that they are soon representing Kigezi Region on the National scene.
Ahimbisibwe expressed gratitude to Ruteera for always supporting them not for political reasons, and not segregating them based on religion.
